Liliha Bakery Waikiki Beach Walk Happy Hour: Prime Rib, Steak and $3.50 Beer, 3 to 6 pm

Liliha Bakery Waikiki Beach Walk now runs a daily 3 to 6 pm happy hour, with 16 oz prime rib at $38.50 and beers at $3.50. The prices, the parking catch, and our plan.

Liliha Bakery at Waikiki Beach Walk now has a happy hour, and it is a meat one: prime rib, New York steak, and half-price beer and cocktails, every day from 3 to 6 pm. We noticed this one quickly, because in September we read that store’s menus line by line and wrote that there was no happy hour anywhere on them. Three in the afternoon also happens to be exactly when our day turns into the drinking part of the day.

What happened

Aloha State Daily reported, in a story dated October 20, 2026, that the Waikiki Beach Walk restaurant (226 Lewers St., second floor) “recently launched” a happy hour that is exclusive to that location. The article does not give a start date.

The company has its own page for it. Liliha Bakery’s Beach Walk happy hour page says “Daily 3PM – 6PM” and lists four plates and six drinks, under the line “Beers & Cocktails 50% off”. We read it on October 20, 2026. The plate prices and the regular prices it shows match the news report.

ItemHappy hourRegular
16 oz prime rib$38.50$48.95
Prime rib and lobster tail$48.50$64.95
New York steak and shrimp$35.95$46.95
10 oz New York steak$29.50$37.95
Michelob Ultra$3.50$6.95
Stella Artois$3.50$6.95
Asahi Super Dry$3.50$6.95
Kona Brewing$3.50$6.95 or $7.50
Piña colada$8.00—
Mai tai$8.00—

The happy hour prices and the plate regulars are from the official happy hour page. The beer regulars come from the store’s regular menu PDF, which itself has not been updated to show the happy hour; it still lists only the everyday prices. The happy hour page shows no regular price for the two cocktails, so we left those blank.

What it changes for a Waikiki stay

The plates come with the same sides as the regular menu, per the happy hour page: the butter roll, rice, corn, and a choice of mixed green or potato-mac salad. Fried potatoes are a $1.25 swap, fried rice $1.89.

The discounts work out to:

  • 16 oz prime rib: $10.45 off
  • Prime rib and lobster tail: $16.45 off
  • Steak and shrimp: $11 off
  • 10 oz New York steak: $8.45 off

The plates come down about 20 to 25 percent. The beer is where it gets interesting. Michelob Ultra, Stella Artois, and Asahi Super Dry are each $6.95 on the regular menu, so $3.50 really is half. The happy hour page just says “Kona Brewing”; the regular menu carries two Kona beers, the Light Blonde Ale at $6.95 and the Gold Cliff IPA at $7.50, and neither the page nor the report says which one, or whether both.

A cold beer at $3.50 in the middle of Waikiki is a genuinely good number. It is the kind of price that makes sitting down worth it for us.

If you drive, the timing has a catch. The Waikiki Beach Walk parking page lists complimentary valet only from 10 am to 3 pm (with a validated ticket and a same-day receipt of $10 or more from a shop or restaurant there). Happy hour starts at 3. After that, the same page lists $8 for four hours with validation, or $4 per half hour without. Checked October 20, 2026. Aloha State Daily notes that parking is at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Waikiki Beach Walk.

What we would do — and what we wouldn’t

We have not eaten at the Beach Walk store yet, so this is a plan, not a review.

The plan is a simple one. We do not eat lunch, and our afternoon beer usually starts around 3 or 4 in the room. This happy hour opens at 3, a few minutes on foot from Hokulani Waikiki, where we stay. That is about as low-effort as a sit-down meal gets for us.

What we would order: one 16 oz prime rib at $38.50, which the meat-heavy half of our table would happily take on, and a 10 oz New York steak at $29.50 for the other. That is $68 for the two plates. Add two rounds of Asahi at $3.50 each, so four beers, $14, and the total is $82 before tax and tip for what is, for us, the whole day’s real meal. The same order at regular prices, with the regular $6.95 Asahi, comes to $114.70.

We would get there right at 3 on a weekday, before any dinner crowd, and be done well before 6.

What we would skip: the lobster tail combo and the mai tais. Nothing wrong with either. We just do not drink cocktails, and $48.50 is more plate than we need at 3 in the afternoon. If an $8 mai tai is your idea of the afternoon, the regular menu’s Fly By Mai Tai is $15.95, though the happy hour page does not say whether it is the same drink.

What we would not count on: takeout. Takeout is how we normally use Liliha, but neither the happy hour page nor the report says whether these prices apply to orders to go. Neither says whether the discount is bar-only or for the whole room. We would ask at the host stand before ordering rather than assume.

Before you plan around this

  • The hours (daily 3 to 6 pm), the four plates, and the six drinks with their happy hour prices are from Liliha Bakery’s own happy hour page, checked October 20, 2026. Aloha State Daily’s report says the same.
  • The regular menu PDF does not show the happy hour yet. If you only look at the menus page, you will miss it.
  • The official page does not mention holiday exclusions, a takeout policy, seating limits, or which Kona beer is poured.
  • The regular prices, the store hours (7 am to 10 pm daily, per the locations page), and the beer regulars are from the company’s own pages, checked October 20, 2026.
  • New happy hours get adjusted. If the menu at the table says something different, believe the menu at the table.

A $3.50 beer a few minutes from our door at 3 pm. That one we will probably go and check for ourselves.
